Worked examples and practical tips
Resize by exact width and height in pixels. Keep aspect ratio enabled to avoid stretching a picture.
Half-size image
A 1200 × 800 image resized to 600 pixels wide becomes 600 × 400 when the aspect ratio is locked.
Keeping proportions
For an original 1920 × 1080 image, a width of 1280 gives a proportional height of 720.
Tip: Reducing pixel dimensions may also reduce file size, but image quality and compression settings affect the final bytes.
