Major Arcana Guide: All 22 Cards
Understand the role of the 22 Major Arcana, the symbolic journey from The Fool to The World, and what a Major-heavy spread can indicate.
What are the Major Arcana?
The 22 Major Arcana represent broad themes such as beginnings, choice, responsibility, transformation and integration. Their appearance does not guarantee an event, but it gives the symbolic theme more weight in a reading.
The Fool’s Journey
The sequence from The Fool to The World can be studied as a learning journey through experience, choice, challenge, perspective shifts, transformation and integration. It is a useful way to understand relationships among the cards.
When many Majors appear
A Major-heavy spread can emphasize values, turning points or larger themes over daily details. The question, position and real-world context still matter more than the count alone.
Frequently asked questions
Is tarot a scientific way to predict the future?
No. Tarot can be used as a symbolic reflection tool, but it is not a scientifically validated prediction method and should not replace facts or professional advice.
Do I need to memorize every card meaning?
No. Start with the archetype, position and question, then notice suit, element, number and relationships with nearby cards. Memorization grows naturally with practice.
Can I use reversed cards?
Yes, and they are optional. Horus Tarot treats reversals as an extra layer such as blocked, internalized, exaggerated or delayed expression.
